The research presented in the book was conducted as part of the project "School education in the era of pandemic and post-pandemic in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia" (no. 22210036), funded by the International Visegrad Fund. The project was implemented by the University of Opole (Poland), with partners including the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), the University of Presov (Slovakia), Public Primary School No. 2 themed Polish Olympians in Opole (Poland), Secondary school, Elementary school, and Kindergarten in Karviná (Czech Republic), and United Boarding School in Snina (Slovakia). The project was carried out in three partner countries from 2022 to 2023. The aim of the quantitative research was to assess teachers' perspectives on the functioning of the school community during the pandemic, with a particular focus on the benefits and threats arising from the implementation of distance learning methods in crisis situations. The study was conducted simultaneously in three countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, in the first quarter of 2023. The analyses of the research results indicate that distance learning is a viable alternative in situations where regular teaching in schools or educational institutions is not possible. The Covid-19 pandemic forced all countries to make a transition from traditional forms of education to online methods, and the experience gained during this time by teachers, students, and parents should not be wasted. In conclusion, we postulate that the acquired competences should be utilized in everyday educational processes. We also suggest that some school activities, especially extracurricular ones, be conducted using remote work methods Zaprezentowane w książce badania przeprowadzone zostały w ramach projektu „School education in the era of pandemic and post-pandemic in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia” (no.22210036) i sfinansowane ze środków the International Visegrad Fund’s. Realizatorem projektu był University of Opole (Poland) a partnerami University of Ostrava (Czech Republic); University of Presov (Slovakia); Public Primary School No. 2 them. Polish Olympians in Opole (Poland); Secondary school, Elementary school and Kindergarten with Karviná (Czech Republic) and United Boarding School with Snina (Slovakia).
